We’re Shepherd’s Cove Palliative Care
Relief. Support. Quality of Life.
Palliative care is specialized medical care that focuses on comfort and quality of life for people living with serious illnesses. It helps relieve pain and other difficult symptoms, while also supporting emotional and spiritual needs.
Palliative care works alongside your existing doctors, including your primary care provider, to provide an extra layer of support. It acts as a bridge between curative treatment and symptom relief, helping you manage your illness more closely and personally.
You and your care team will create a plan based on your needs and goals. This plan allows you to keep receiving treatment for your illness while also improving your comfort and daily life. It also offers support to your family and caregivers along the way.
Palliative care that puts you first
Palliative care offers patients a vital layer of support that goes beyond what a primary care provider (PCP) can offer, focusing on stabilizing their health and enhancing their quality of life.
Patients are able to:
- Continue aggressive treatment (chemo/dialysis/etc.)
- Seek home health assistance
- Keep their preferred medical provider
- Have access to chaplain & social services
Each person’s journey matters. You are not alone.
Example Conditions that Palliative Care Can Support:
